This switch, /NA{TIVE}{:len}, displays files in the native format of the host operating system. The len sub-parameter (default 24) determines the maximum display width for the filespecs. If the filename exceeds that, it is terminated with ">" just as when /NATIVE is not used. This switch was added in DIR.LIT 3.0(140), A-Shell build 990 of 10 June 2007.
/NA{TIVE} causes the following other effects:
| • | "Incompatible files" are treated like any other files (i.e. displayed instead of skipped). |
| • | File sizes are shown in bytes instead of blocks |
| • | File names are shown in upper and lower case as they really are. |
| • | When combined with /D, displays entire path for each file. Otherwise, displays just the filename + extension(s) (but for each new directory, displays the directory in native format instead of the DEV:[p,pn] format.) |
