Erasing Log Files Periodically

Scroll Prev Top Next More

A-Shell creates a couple of running log files that you will need to periodically erase (or else the disk will eventually fill up.) The most important one is spool.log), which will be found in the DSK0:[1,2] directory, and which contains an audit trail of every print request. The other log file is ashlog.log which if present, will be found in the same directory where miame.ini resides. Its contents and existence depend on the settings of the TRACE parameter, but is mainly used under Unix to log unexpected telnet disconnects.
