ATE refinement (server side): Server now informs ATE whenever a RUN program is starting and the keyboard channel is not being actively controlled by ATE. This allows ATE to start managing the keyboard data immediately, rather than waiting for the first ATE command issued by the program (and allowing typeahead characters to slip through in the meantime). While typeahead isn't necessarily a problem, it does complicate handling of ATE commands that require responses, and at best, slows down the connection due to excess round trips. |
