This document is a record of the changes made to A-Shell 7.0, beginning with build 1600 of May 2017 and continuing through 1752 of November 2023. Some minor changes have been made since that cutoff date, but they are indeed minor.
Information on previous versions of A-Shell can be found with their respective software releases on the A-Shell downloads page, and a record of all changes to A-Shell since its inception can be found in the A-Shell Development History documentation.
Prior to its formal release in November 2023, and during the long development cycle since May 2017, what is now A-Shell 7.0 was known as A-Shell 6.5. At the time of formal release and designation as the "stable version" of A-Shell, the version number was switched from A-Shell 6.5 to A-Shell 7.0.
There are three major sections to this document:
| • | Version Highlights: A list of new elements that the A-Shell developer deems most important. |
| • | Notes by Subject: Does not include bug fixes or other changes considered too minor to mention, but otherwise contains the same level of detail as below. |
| • | Notes by Version and Date: Includes all development notes regardless of type or significance, and is arranged in reverse chronological order—i.e., newest at top. |
