xcall ASCEBC, record

xcall EBCASC, record

ASCEBC.SBR and EBCASC.SBR convert the specified record from ASCII to EBCDIC and from EBCDIC to ASCII, respectively. The single parameter is a string or unformatted record of any size, which will be converted in place.

History

2011 March, A-Shell 5.1.1210:  EBCDIC Lives! ASCEBC.SBR and EBCASC.SBR, ASCII to EBCDIC conversion routines, are now included with A-Shell/Linux and A-Shell/Windows. They were previously available only in A-Shell/AIX.
