INFLD External Parameters

In addition to the calling parameters, there are several external parameters which affect the operation of INFLD.

Parameter

Description

Language Definition File

INFLD gets a number of format and character symbol options from the Language Definition File (LDF) for your job. If no LDF file is in effect (on older versions of AMOS), the USA defaults are used.

Set type code

AMOS only. See INFLD Definition File.

Set type code

This is the A-Shell equivalent to INFLD.DEF. The command SBR=INFDEF:<type code string> is placed in miame.ini and processed when A-Shell starts up. After that, the specified type code string is added to the end of the type parameter each time INFLD is called. (except when the m code is used.)

Century Definition

The miame.ini setting SBR=CCYY:## may be used to change the cutoff for which years are assumed to be part of the current 19xx century. Any year greater than ## will be assumed to be 19##, while any year equal or less than ## will be assumed to be 20## (unless overridden by some other parameters). Note that this applies to ODTIM and IDTIM as well as INFLD.

SBR=

Because many dealers have modified their version of INFLD and want their modifications to be standard in A-Shell, we have added a number of other option switches that can be installed into A-Shell using the SBR= setting in miame.ini.
