Launching A-Shell

This section provides details on the command line options available for launching A-Shell and its related commands from the host operating system.

Command

Purpose

A-Shell

Launches the A-Shell environment—i.e., the dot prompt.

COMPIL

Launches the native host version of the ASB compiler.

PSHELL

(UNIX only) Launches PolyShell, which in turn can launch and manage multiple A-Shell sessions on a single workstation.

VUE

(UNIX only) Launches the native host version of the VUE editor.
