A very good multi-store customer of ours, who migrated all his PCs from ZTERM to ATE a little while back, really misses the Print Screen function that ZTERM had.
It sounds like it was very common for them to want to print what they were seeing on their screen (to a Windows printer rather than one connected to their Datatron system) so they could set a copy on another's desk, etc.
Any chance we could see something like that in an upcoming release?

Hi.. Steve from Madics has a nifty little screen capture utility that will capture the screen and allow it to be saved/printed. We will add this to the users icon toolbar so its alwayws available. I dont know if its on the ashell site anywhere but he has been very generous with its distribution...

Thanks everyone for the help. I will give the different programs a try to see what might be best/easiest for our customers.
I see now how I missed [all] the previous posts (when searching to see if this topic has been covered) ... I didn't catch that I was only searching in the ATE forum and not all of them. I'll add that to the list of new things I learn today!!

Note that as of 5.1.1116 under A-Shell/Windows or ATE, you can use the PRSCNX.SBX which use Jorge's NetCaller routine to capture the screen into a PNG file and from there, print it.

I found another nice free little screen print utility called greenshot. It has the ability to do some light drawing of boxes, circles and arrows after you capture the screen.
