Olá Jorge,
Congratulations for pulling off the Olympics in style, despite all the difficulties, and without any major disasters. All things considered, an impressive act of desenrascanço!
And a special mention for recapturing the soccer title (making a nice pair with the Portuguese victory in the 2016 World Championship).
Now hopefully you can have a few weeks to get some work done (in between figuring out what to do with all those new buildings, cleaning up the garbage left behind by the departing fans, not to mention the unfortunately not-departing politicians, repairing damages caused by certain badly misbehaved swimmers, etc.) before the next major World Event in Key Largo.
Até logo!
Jack

Hi guys, Apologize for the delay here but, it happens that we were travelling in Portugal during those fantastic games and, the reason for not being there was not to be afraid of but it was our chance to visit Portugal together during the summer; due to the Games, it was decreted vacations in Rio de Janeiro. Many thanks for the cumpliments, in fact, Brazilians are the experts in desenrascanço probably one of the major legacy they learned from the Portuguese No matter how worst can be the scenario, once you reach there and get evolved in the mood, all problems vanish and everything is just fantastic. We will be there for the Paraolimpics where, a few weeks ago, they have sold only 20% of the tickets but, after the Games everybody was sad and nostalgic so, by now, it's difficult to find tickets because everybody wants to keep the olympic atmosphere alive in town and live it. After that, it will be time for the next great event on Earth, in Key Largo

Yes, absolutely impressive, I went to watch Swimming on Wednesday and the ambience was absolutely fantastic; there, we can feel the truly Olympic spirit between the athletes, the empaty with the public and watch impossible things happening, which are a thousand times stronger to see alive, feeling their families support and proud. It was a lesson for life, I will never forget that day and will think twice when blame about some problem. Great Britain was the winner of the day with a lot of podiums, many of them with Gold and Silver, congratulations Steve, I know the great work you're doing after London 2012 regarding Paralimpics athletes. I was near an US family supporting their son and, at the end he came and it was awsome to see the kids, including the daughter of a friend of us, taking pictures with him and put him at the level of superstar, which he truly is. And, the Brazilians were great answering to the call and went to the events filling most of them and supporting each athlete. Now we start to feel here, already, a symptom of emptyness and "we want more..." :-)

LOL I know Jorge.... Mea Culpa! I am a good 12 hour drive now from the Keys. Living in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains now in North Carolina . I am hiding in the hills off the grid, using only an old HAM radio for contact to the outside world...

Jorge & Steve: I don't know if your efforts are going to have any effect, but I'm sure enjoying them! And if you do succeed in dragging Frank out of his cave, the two of you can split the handsome (and probably potable) bounty I'm offering for delivering him alive.

Well, that sounds encouraging... Come on Frank! Aren't you tired to keep that white skin on those frozen moutains, isn't it time to get tanned? And, I'm sure Steve agrees about sharing the prize with you, unless that can be considered corruption? (Nowadays, around here, everything is corruption so, I must be carefull about generous offers ) Anyway, I'm sure that, if Herman says here some nice words, that will definitely convince Batfrank to come out
