Good day -

Whilst testing the check for updates feature, i noticed that if it goes out and checks, and gives you the option to update - or if the version is the same as you already have, and you click NO then it hangs the ATE session. In addition, if you Disconnect, it leaves an ashell background process running that also is hitting the CPU pretty hard. Fairly easy to recreate. I don't recall this happening before this latest ATE build but i could be wrong there.

Versions running:

ATEUPDATE.LIT 6.4(129) & ATE 6.5.1671.7

I think this is resolved in 6.5.1672.0, which is available for testing via:

ash-6.5.1672.0-w32-upd.zip

(I also posted a check-for-updates package for you Frank so you can test it directly in context without having to copy the exe over manually.)

Note that problem may have left behind one or more instances of ashw32.exe running in an infinite loop; make sure you use the Task Manager to remove them.
