Good day -

In our infinite wisdom ( crazy ) we have decided to re-design our entire gui in a more "modern" theme. In doing so i am creating my own labels using a designated font and color. There doesn't seem to be any way to override these for checkboxes. (yes i did check the manual!) The available display options are limited. I don't want to spend too many brain cycles on this just thought I'd ask if there was any other way to accomplish this? I guess i could created a checkbox w/o a label and just add my own label? Maybe thats it?

PS: Windows has also (in its infinite wisdom) changed its font to a new one called APTOS. All newer apps seem to have migrated to this font but its not available as a selectable font in Ashell/ATE. Thoughts on how to add it? (because apparently one must "fit-in" in order to be considered "modern"... ) cry

I think the reason that Aptos doesn't show up as a font option in A-Shell is the same reason that it (at least for me) does not show up in the Control Panel fonts applet. It does appear as an option within Office, but apparently it has its own set of fonts independent of Windows?

As for the checkbox text, the control does not appear to have an option to change the font, so your workaround may be the only way.

Indeed it does show in Office. About 10 different flavors worth. It looks like a "shorter" and smaller overall compared to Arial.

And does it also NOT show up in the Control Panel Fonts applet? (Note that despite all the commentary about the new style, at least to me, within Word, it looks pretty much the same as the original Calibri.)

To your point, No it doesnt show up there, on either my w10 or w11 box. When selecting "download font" option, its not even listed! So i guess they are reserving it for themselves!

I checked with Ty and he has the same issue. So yes, it does appear that Office has a set of fonts (including many besides Aptos) that are only available to Office, not to Windows applications in general. I suggest you go with Calibri for now if you want something as similar as possible to Aptos.
