Good morning,

Changing the value of a checkbox column from "1" to " ", to remove the square, doesn't update visualy while refreshing the XTREE with XTR'NOREDRAW set.
But it works fine when switching from "1" to "0", displaying an empty square, or even from " " to 1, or "0" to "1" which displays the marked checkbox.
Maybe, this should be review and eventually fixed, but I fall liking the switch from "1" to "0" leaving the empty checkbox because I know which cells were changed.

NOTE: I think it's obvious, but I'm talking aboutTa non-editable checkbox (t) and the value switch is made behind the scenes, not by clicking the checkbox.

Thanks

Although it may not look that way, I haven't been ignoring this. It just led to one thing after another... But I think I may have fixed the problem you describe (along with a few others) in the latest beta ...

No problem, I'm glad you found and fix it, thanks
But I'm unable to download it, my Defender insists a virus was found :-(
Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml

Before disable it, anything to check on your side causing this?

Hmmm.... I did get a Windows Defender message saying that it needed to perform a "Cloud Security Scan" when I downloaded either of the above and then unzipped and executed it. But after that there were no further complaints. However, just to be sure, I changed the file date to today and did full recompiles, regenerated the zips, re-uploaded them, then repeated the download test, and I no longer get that warning. So I suggest repeating the download. Note that I added the exe hashes next to the links in the post above.

I'm guessing it was a random coincidence of a binary pattern match, and not something more sinister.

And the "shift issue" in XTREE seems to have gone ... lovely!
Many thanks

Jorge - Thanks to some input from Gregg I fixed another couple of issues in XTREE (one of which might possibly account for your issue with the edit cell being shifted out of position). So if you haven't started your weekend party yet, try this version...

ash-7.0.1757.0-w32-upd.zip
ash-7.0.1757.0-w32c-upd.zip
ash70notes.txt

Hi Jack,

Regarding XTREE, all problems related before seems to be fixed and, I have feeling that the global behavior of XTREE while editing and updating is more consistent, before, some minimal adjustments were visible but maybe is just a feeling, anyway, looks perfect.

As for the Dialog fix regarding the coordinates, curiously I've noticed it but always thought that was some issue in LEO and never reported, I'm glad you've found and fix, now I have a few Dialogs to adjust the extra col/row I've added to workaround, but no problem.

Thank you

PS: No parties today and probably during the weekend due a storm alert, started now with soft rain, maybe perfect to get some more work done .

Sorry to hear about your party scene breakdown, but hopefully you got some work done today. And thanks for the positive feedback. (With apologies to the great Dr. King, the arc of A-Shell development is long, but it bends toward perfection. cool )

And as one more tiny step in that direction, you may want to download the latest 7.0.1757.1 (See this thread for details.)
