As the subject says the -uo launchname switch does not work in Linux (either EL7 or Debian 12). This works reliably with Window's A-Shell.

This is /home/ashvm/.profile
Code
/var/data/kkvet/ashell/vm/miame/bin/ashell -n -hetcki -i /var/data/kkvet/ashell/vm/miame/miame.ini -uo stephe -erz /var/data/kkvet/ashell/vm/miame/ddscnf/001004/ddscnf.erz bn

It still launches A-Shell as ashvm.

We've been using this for years in Windows but have never required it in a Linux environment until now.

I'm not sure why this feature was never implemented in the UNIX version, but I think it works now in 7.0.1762.2 ---

ash-7.0.1762.2-el7-upd.tz
ash-7.0.1762.2-el7-x86_64-upd.tz
ash-7.0.1762.2-d12-x86_64-upd.tz
