MAXINST=##

(Windows only)  MAXINST is an optional parameter, which allows you to limit the number of A-Shell windows or sessions that can be run simultaneously on one workstation. If not specified, then there is no particular limit. The main reason for setting a limit (especially a limit of 1) would be to eliminate the confusion that’s arises when inexperienced users don’t realize they have a session already going (perhaps because it is minimized) and so they open another, perhaps repeatedly. This, by itself, is not a problem for A-Shell, but it may be a problem for the application, if, for example, the user has a record locked in one of the sessions and then leaves it there indefinitely because they forgot about the session.
