Standalone

(Windows only) If the node license is greater than two, i.e. A-Shell is running in a networked environment, then it requires that each PC has a NetBIOS computer name set. If some standalone testing of an application is required, perhaps with the PC disconnected from the network, then the -s switch may be used, which does not require a NetBIOS computer name to be set.

Running in standalone mode on a network voids the A-Shell license agreement. In addition file locking will not function correctly. Corruption of the A-Shell multi-user queuing file, QFLOCK.SYS, is also likely to occur.
