Beginning in A-Shell build 963 of 05 August 2006, a method is available for making it easier to output debugging/tracing/status information without interfering with the GUI screen context. The components of this mechanism are discussed in the following sections.

9/19/06 note from Jack: Perhaps we should create a section in the dev guide for tracing techniques and related info. that would be the place to document the CTRL+SHIFT+DBLRIGHTCLICK command, etc. It would also cross-reference the LOGDIR entry in the Setup Guide.
