Note: This documentation is a 2025 repackaging and reformatting of the original ZTERM help file, the latter being no longer accessible from within ZTERM. Although a lot has changed since this material was written in the year 2000 and before, the publisher has elected to preserve the material in its original form. The reader is therefore advised that some of the information presented here is out-of-date or no longer applicable.
ZTERM 2000 is a full feature 32-bit terminal emulator designed to connect PCs running Microsoft Windows® to host systems, such as Alpha Micro AMOS® machines and various Unix® servers. Unlike many other terminal emulators, ZTERM 2000 emulates both field and mode terminals, allowing connectivity to host systems that expect either type of terminal. ZTERM 2000 supports both serial connections and telnet sessions over TCP/IP networks, including the Internet. Automatic connection via a modem or dial-up networking is supported, as is file transfer via FTP and serial port. ZTERM 2000 is shareware software. This means that you can download it freely from the Internet, try it out and then make your decision to purchase. The evaluation license allows operation for 28 days, after which you need to uninstall ZTERM 2000 or purchase a license code. ZTERM 2000 Emulation window
