Connecting to the Host

Scroll Prev Top Next More

ZTERM 2000 supports connections to the host system via direct wired serial connections, modems and via the network based telnet protocol. If you are unsure which method you use to connect to the host, check with your System Administrator.

ZTERM 2000 also supports the use of dial-up networking, a feature built into Windows 95 and Windows NT that allows remote users to dial into the network as if they were hard wired to it.

Depending on the method you use to connect to the host and the operating system, you may or may not be able to run multiple copies of ZTERM 2000 to obtain multiple sessions on the host system. With multiple sessions you can often start one host program running a time-consuming task and then switch to the other session and run another host program.
