ZTERM 2000 allows operation on all serial ports supported by Windows. Keep in mind that in most PC configurations, the pairs of COM1 / COM3 and COM2 / COM4 cannot be used at the same time. If you have a mouse on COM1, for example, COM3 probably can't be used to connect to the host while the mouse is in use.
Connecting via a serial port allows one session to the host, unless multi-session emulator (like FliP and Multi) are used.
When wiring a cable between a PC and an Alpha Micro computer, only four wires are needed:
