User Buttons are a floating window that contains forty user programmable buttons that when clicked send a pre-defined sequence to the host system. User Buttons are particularly useful for containing commonly used command sequences that are sent to the host system.

User Buttons can be programmed two ways. First by using the User Button setup utility or by a program written on the host system. The host always takes presidence because it allows the software running there to better tailor the sequences that are sent.

Setting the function of each button is very simple. Using the User Button Setup utility, simply:

1. Make sure you're connected to the host.

2. Double click the button you'd like to program.

3. Click on Capture

4. Type the sequence you'd like to use

5. Press the Break key to terminate the capture

6. Fill in the Caption and Tooltip fields

7. Click Update to confirm your settings.
