ZTERM 2000 allows connections using the TCP/IP based telnet protocol. TCP/IP is a routable protocol that allows connectivity between very disparent systems and is the protocol used on the global Internet network. The telnet protocol allows systems to connect as if a serial connection were made between the host and PC.
Because the underlying network is typically high-speed, ZTERM 2000 operates much faster over a network connection than a serial connection. If you can obtain a network connection to your host system, you'll enjoy ZTERM 2000 to it's fullest.
Additionally multiple copies of ZTERM 2000 can run at the same allowing, allowing multiple sessions on the host system.
ZTERM 2000 uses the network services provided by the Windows operating system, therefore you must use networking hardware that's supported by both your network and Windows.
When connecting a PC to a network, you should ask your System Administrator for help. Configuring networks is a very complex process and should be left to experts.
